What is Velocity

Velocity is a vector explanation of the dislocation that an object or particle bear with respect to time The standard unit of velocity importance as speed is the meter per second (m/s). The centimeter per second (cm/s) can be used to express velocity importance.

Speed Vs Velocity

Speed only supply a number that how fast you are active. Velocity, because it adds order, tells you how fast you are changing your area. Because of this difference, if your area doesn’t change even if you are going very fast, velocity will be zero (0). If you were to run in place very fast, your speed may be six meter per hour (6 m/h), but your velocity would be zero. If you were to run backwards and forwards, always the act of coming back to your same spot. your velocity would be zero again because you didn’t go anywhere.

Equation for Velocity

The velocity is the change in the position of an body, divided by the time. Velocity has a weight and a direction. The velocity is meters per second (m/s).

Formula for Velocity

Velocity can be thought of as speed with direction. The formula for speed is change in gap divided by change in time. The formula for velocity is change in displacement divided by change in time.

Speed = distance ÷ time

Distance Speed Time Formula

Speed is a measure of how quickly an body going from one place to another place. compare to the outrun moved divided by time. These three values using the other two.

 A dog runs from one side of a park to the opportunity. The park is 80.0 meters side by side. The dog takes 16.0 seconds to side by side the park. What’s speed?

Answer:

The distance the dog travels and the time it taken given. 

s = 5.0 m/s

The speed of the dog is 5.0 m/s (meters per second).

 A automobile is driven at its top speed of 27.0 km/h for 10.0 minutes. In meters, how far did the automobile travel?

 Solve this problem is to change the units of the speed and time so that the answer found will be in meters, 

The speed is:

s = 27.0 km/h,

s = 7.50 m/s

The time the automobile traveled for was:

t = 10.0 min

t = 600 s

The speed of the automobile and the time of driving are given,the distance driving can be found applying the formula.

d = (7.50 m/s)(600 s)

d = 4500 m 

d = 4.50 km

Introduction to the Displacement and Acceleration Equation

This equation relates movement, initial velocity, constant acceleration, and time:

Movement equals the initial velocity multiplied by time plus one half the acceleration multiplied by the square of time.

Here is a sample problem and its solution showing the use of this equation:

An object is moving with a velocity of 5.0 m/s. It accelerates constantly at 2.0 m/s/s, (2 m/s2), for a time period of 3.0 s. What is its movement during this acceleration?

d = 24 m
